Cod Curry Recipe With Onion Sauce

6 Servings – Preparation: 10 min – Cooking: 20 min

Ingredients

  • 6 fillets of cod
  • 750 g of big onions
  • 2 table spoons of curry powder (mild or hot)
  • 2 table spoons of flour
  • 1 table spoon of Lime juice
  • 2 table spoons of oil
  • 25 g of butter
  • 1 natural yogurt
  • salt

Directions:

Peel the onions and slice them thinly. Mix the flour with 1 table spoon of the curry powder and add some salt. Then, place the cod fillets in this mixture and get a firm coat of
the mixture on both sides of the cod fillets. Shake fillets to remove the extra bit of the flour mixture.

Heat 2 table spoons of oil in an anti adhesive frying pan and fry the cod fillets 2 to 3 minutes each side (the frying will depend on the thickness of each fillets).
Take them out of the frying pan and store it in a warm area.

Discard the oil residues from the frying pan and add 25 gm of butter. Add the onions and the remaining 1 table spoon of curry, salt.
Let the onions cook for about 10 minutes, keep stirring in a continuous motion until the onions become tender.

Now add the yogurt and lemon juice to the onions and mix it well. Cook for more 2.

That’s it! Your dish of fried salmon with braised endives is ready to be served. Was this difficult to prepare?

Dish Presentation:

In a serving dish, place the cod fillets and add the onion and curry sauce over the fillets and on the side and serve it as soon as possible.

This cod curry goes well with white basmati rice or if you have time to prepare pulao rice then it is going to be better. You can also serve it with cooked mixed
vegetable or just simply have it with Indian Nan bread or French baguettes.

This is an easy recipe to prepare at home, wouldn’t you agree with me?
