Here is a spicy Avocado mousse recipe to try out. This is one of the easy cold appetizer recipes you can make in just about few minutes. The beauty of this recipe is the addition of the bird pepper as an ingredient.
If you don’t like spicy then just leave out the bird pepper from the mixture.
So here is the spicy recipe!
Avocado Mousse Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados
- 3 small white onions
- 1 bird pepper
- 2 shallots
- 10 cl of fresh cream
- 2 green lime
- Tabasco
- 1 pinch of Cayenne pepper
- Salt
- Tortilla Chips
Directions
Cut the avocados in halves. Take out the seed. With a small spoon remove the flesh.
Peel the onions and shallots.
Place the avocados, onions, shallots, bird pepper and the fresh cream in a mixer. Add the juice from the 2 green lime and a few drops of Tabasco
Mix until you obtain a light and homogeneous mixture. Taste the mixture and adjust the taste with salt and cayenne pepper
Pour the mousse in a bowl and store it in the fridge for 30mn
Decorate the avocado mousse with some slices of and serve them with tortilla chips
Tips
Bird pepper is sometimes known as small hot peppers. In size it is very small, pointy and comes in red or green color. This is one of the varieties that has the largest dose in of capsaicin dose. Do not use excessively
If you don’t like spicy then do avoid the bird pepper. It might sting a little.
